This position will be based at Fenimore’s headquarters in Cobleskill, NY.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will proactively assist FAM Funds mutual fund shareholders daily by providing superior client service. Interactions with shareholders will occur over the phone, via video conference and in-person. This position will be primarily focused on ensuring the timely and accurate processing of account maintenance requests. This individual will be able to clearly communicate Fenimore’s unique mutual fund offerings to both retain existing relationships and cultivate new ones. The expectation is for this role to grow into a more senior investor facing role with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Four-year bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 5 years of financial services industry experience
• FINRA Series 7 & 66 preferred. Must obtain industry licenses within first six months of employment
• Proven record of success in a client service role
• Excellent communication skills and investor focus
• Must be extremely organized and capable of multi-tasking
• Have a keen level of detail and take ownership for the accuracy of every deliverable
• Maintain a high level of initiative, professionalism, and quality standards

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Shareholder Servicing

• Ensure a best-in-class shareholder service experience and identify areas to provide added value during all interactions
• Serve as a key member of a pro-active shareholder engagement team that is the primary resource for incoming calls, emails, paperwork, and outbound calls related to account maintenance
• Schedule one-on-one meetings with shareholders and our Investor Relations Team
• Focus on retaining existing shareholders and cultivating new relationships
• Proactively organize efforts to contact shareholders to communicate our unique offering and value proposition
• Provide productive suggestions on how the firm can improve the shareholder experience

2. Operations & Compliance

• Oversee timely and accurate shareholder account processing
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Focus on team objectives and work with management to accomplish stated goals
• Escalate all operational, compliance or client service-related issues as soon as it is identified and keep open lines of communication with management team
• Work on special projects as requested

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position will not include supervisory responsibilities. 

PAY RANGE:

The base salary range is $75,000 – $95,000. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus and paid time off.
