Sales Administration Associate
Seeking an engaged individual to join our growing team of investment management professionals in the Capital Region. Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, office experience and an interest in a sales or marketing career in finance. The ability to multi-task is imperative; this role will support distribution and sales functions, working with a variety of team members to support the firm’s overall business development efforts within the region and across the nation. Fenimore is a $5B+ investment manager that is actively growing. Fenimore offers a strong compensation and benefits package plus future growth opportunity. Candidate may have the ability to be sponsored by Fenimore for FINRA investment licensure to further enhance skills and capabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple CRM database systems (primarily Salesforce) to support the input, tracking, distribution and monitoring of sales and marketing activities to new & existing investors.
- Manage electronic distribution for Sales including contact list management & maintenance, constituency targeting, plus updates on campaign outcomes and lead generation.
- Actively participate in process improvements to maximize Fenimore’s reach in all investor channels.
- Participate in outbound initiatives to reach new & existing investors; provide invitations and schedule meetings on behalf of Fenimore’s external sales resources.
- Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly activity reports.
- Prepare sales collateral for on-going updates to 3rd parties and prospects.
- Participate in educational opportunities to stay abreast of industry developments.
This position is full-time in Cobleskill, NY reporting to Anne Putnam, CEO. A collegial team will assist the development of this position and be involved day-to-day in execution.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum GPA of 3.4.
- 0-3 years’ experience in sales.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- CRM/Salesforce knowledge preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows required plus the ability to adapt to new technology as needed.
- Critical thinking and a sales and marketing mindset required including strong interpersonal skills.
Pay Range:
The base pay range for this role is $40,000 to $60,000 annually. This role is also eligible for a bonus and the Fenimore Profit Sharing retirement plan.
