Fenimore Asset Management is offering an internship at its offices in Cobleskill, NY during the Summer of 2025.  The intern will work with the Investment Research and Private Client Services departments. 

The individual we seek should be highly motivated, analytical and interested in learning about the field of investment management.  The internship will begin on or around June 9th and last for eight weeks.

Firm Description

Fenimore Asset Management is an investment advisory firm located in Cobleskill, New York, approximately 30 miles west of Albany, NY.  We offer equity and fixed income investment management services through private client accounts and three publicly-available mutual funds – FAM Value, FAM Dividend Focus, and FAM Small Cap.  Our value-oriented equity investment philosophy incorporates fundamental research using a bottom-up approach to analyzing businesses and stocks.

Internship Projects/Activities

The intern will work with the Investment Research and Private Client Services departments at Fenimore.

Projects will include the following:

• Collecting company and industry data in support of investment research;
• Performing financial statement analysis;
• Providing investment research and recommendations on selected stocks;
• Completing data collection and analysis projects for the Private Client Services group;
• Writing assigned reports; and
• Other selected projects as assigned.

Duration – June 9th – August 1st (flexible)

Hours – 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. M-F (flexible)

Pay – $20 to $30/hour

Location – Cobleskill, NY
